Not really if you look at the price of alarm costing around $250 with a $50 bypass and any other parts. For 3-6 hours of labor thats about right. That alarm is a 2way pager with remote start, and LCD screen ya know! Also some vehicles need special treatment like Dodge's needing to be Diode isolated and relayed like a sum *****!!!

the viper 971(or w\e it is) has the same shit, remote start, lcd and 2 way pager.

without the sst technology... the 791xv doesnt have the 1 mile range and also only comes with 1 remote and no anti grind protection as the 5900 has 1 mile range 2 remotes and anti grind protection. Hint y it is a better alarm!

lol um you mean 791xv.....btw its no longer made it was replaced by the viper 5900 which is now being replaced...

but anyways yes some best buy installers **** some are very good. If your going to get your shit installed at best buy just talk to the installers and see if they actually know their shit and you will be fine

I had my alarm put in at a best buy

My gf bought it for Christmas and the install was free so I said ,let see what happens

They did a good job. Took about 6 hours but it was the week after christmas and they were packed. 4 installers and they were even working on cars outside.

My alarm works great. The antenna was placed in the center of the winsheild

The brain of the alarm is pretty well hidden ( tucked inside the dash pretty deep)

Everything works with out any problems. The remote start works, the page function works, the doors work great. They lock and unlock like they are supposda

It just depends on your installer.

You could go to the best shop in the world and they may have 1 bad installer and you might get him to put something in for you.

I called about 3 best buy stores since you can pretty much choose where you want it put in. The guy closest to me seemed to know what he was talking about.

well u got ripped then man. We sell are 5900's with an extra 4 button remote! So someone either took urs out or DEI somehow forgot to put it in your box! which is very unlikely!
