best buy usually has hard drives for 85 an change i go for that

I run an external 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda. 32Mb cache, 7200RPM. I think I paid right around $80 for it brand new with warranty.

I like WD, but I found a seagate barracuda 7200 SATA drive 500gb.

$60 for the drive and 20 for the cables at the local cpu store.

Also have a 640gb external from WD, works good. USB is slow as fawk

Both brands work well for me.
