Nerds Report: Best Hard drive brand?

It seems to be mostly opinion on which brand is best, (maxtor has always crapped out for me) WD and Seagate have also been good. Looking at a samsung. What are your experiences?

Id stick with WD or Seagate. The Samsung's have always crapped on me along with the Maxtors.

Besides you cant beat a WD or Seagate warranty and customer service.

I would get an ssd but they cost more than a new computer currently lulz. Im snatching a mac book on the cheepz and it needs some storage. The samsungs were in line with the scorpio blacks but like 15 bucks cheaper. Never run a samsung either but i did notice on one at work that they dont even use their own chips which is weird.

Will probably go with the WD Scorpio Black 500gb 7200rpm 16mb cache
