Negative/Negative Bridging?

Hey everyone. I just picked up a pair of 4 Ohm Kicker Solobaric L7s. I currently have the subs wired for 8 Ohms like the picture below .. I was wondering why did they use BOTH negative channels from the amp to bridge it? Is this good? Bad? It still hits pretty hard, but it doesnt make any sense to me. Thanks.

did you wire it in reverse?

Did you get confused and think both negatives on the sub were going to the amp?

Just to confirm, in that picture:

Top left positive - goes to amp

Top right negative - goes to bottom left positive

Bottom right negative - goes to amp

hah ok look.. my amp is a 2 channel amp... and the wires that lead to the subs from the amp are coming out of both negative channels ON the amp.. i know when you bridge an amp, you only use 1 positive and 1 negative terminal on the amp..but they are using both negative terminals.. got me? im pretty new so forgive my ignorance.. thanks

Then change it....use the left positive and right negative.

I tried it and got no sound whatsoever... has anyone else heard of anything like this? Im gonna return it back to normal and see if it sounds any better. right now certain bass frequenies dont sound that great. Tanks
