nees help asap amp watts and sub watts

ok im looking at a bazooka 300w amp

240watts at 4 ohms

300watts at 2 ohms

ok and then i want to look for 2 12" subs but i dont know what i should look for does the watts have to be the same for the sub and amp because alot of the subs are 4 ohm dependant and i just need help now

and also is that 240/300 watts going to each sub or what im new and confused please help

and if someone can tell me what kind of power to look for with this amp i would be happy

When taking into consideration that the amp in question only produces 300w when shown a 2 Ohm load I would suggest that's not going to be adequate power to drive a pair of 12s. There are some pretty efficient drivers out there that could perform well off of that smallish level of output but they're few and far between.

No - that's 240 watts total output when shown a 4 Ohm load and 300 watts total output when shown a 2 Ohm load.http://www.bcae1.com, although a time-consuming read, is well worth any time investment you might choose to put forth. A greatly informative read for the beginning novice. :thumsbup:

hey thanks alot i was looking thru that page yesterday but ddint have enough time lol but thanks and what i meant by the last part was how many watts RMS should each sub be with that power of the amp but now i know its only giving off 300watts total so im going to look for a more powerful amp
