need w7 repair

does anyone know if it is possible to repair a 2" slit in the foam surround of a w7. don't know how it got ther but i have 1, and i called Jl and they want $240 for a re-cone. the subs still plays fine. can i use silicone on it , or crazy glue ?

would like to try and fix it myself 1st if i mess up i will send it in then.

Silicone would be better than crazy glue... Give it a shot, use a small amount. If the seal breaks then look for other options.

2 inches is pretty big but silicone should do it for you
