I've had the infinity 6.5" components in the front and 6x9 3 ways in the back powered by a hilifonics 50rms 4 channel but they really lack in midbass and the highs are very harsh sounding compared to other setups i've heard. I only got them because they were the best deal i could get working at bestbuy.

I now work at circuit city and am looking into upgrading to 6.5 comps front and back and have a few choices:

Eclipse sc6500 for $75 a set

Polk Momo MMC6500 for $132 a set

MTX TX6001 for $50 a set

Kicker DS comps for $54

KS series comps for $70

or RS series comps for $136

Also upgrading to a xtant 604x pushing roughly 120rms per channel so they need to handle more power.

I want clear highs that arent to harsh and overall the most natural sounding set. Researching can only teach so much, i was looking for first hand experience. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

i hear lots of great things about momos but i've had the regular polk 2 way 6x9's and they had no clarity or highs and had muffled bass. is the momo line a big upgrade from the regular coaxials?

polk srs are a little out of my price range, i was messing around with the polk db series components at work today and sounded pretty good. I never gave them any mind after my last experience but i was really surprised. I wish i knu about this site b4 i wasted my money on the infinitys, the high notes on these speakers r way to harsh
