I've been looking at a Diamond D9-12. I know these are larger but would they still have the SQ of the d9? One of these could be a nice alternative. I want SQ but still want some volume. I will be pushing it with a PG Tantrum 1200.1. From what I am reading, people really like this sub but not sure how they compare? Right now I am running 2 Boston 10.5's and like the sq but they just don't get loud enough with the box in the trunk.

I have never honestly played with a Diamond D9 sub, but I have seen one of the lower line Diamond's in action and I can say that they were really nice subs. I believe the JBL GTi can surpass your expectations when it comes to SQ. However, SQ is and always will be a purely subjective idea. Judgements/opinions on SQ are pretty much like rear-ends...everyone has one. I think the power you would be running is ideal for the JBL.

I should have updated pics of the woofers in their current home either today or tomorrow. I apologize for not getting them up sooner.

I have run countless subs in my vehicles and I have yet to come across one that plays as low but has as much composure as one of these W15gti's. It sounds great, gets super low, and I haven't come across any genre of music that it doesn't like.

The GTi's would certainly be the perfect compliment to that amplifier. Let me know if you ever get in the position to make an offer. These woofers need a good home.
