Need to kill trunk lid flex

For the first time in a long time I've gone with a simple trunk box for my subs due to the ease of installation.... (it's an inexpensive car, and I don't want to spend countless hours installing on it)

Anyway, I deadened everything in the car with 3 layers of mat.. but it hasn't done a thing to stop my trunk lid from flexing and making noise... my Dad jokingly suggested that I remove the lid and fill it with cement... I was thinking more along the lines of epoxy or finding some tar that will harden fast/not smell...

anyone have any suggestions ?

I don't think you could actually stop the trunk from flexing.... but try expanding foam. May help with rattles.

get struts for your trunk (like you see on lots of hatchbacks, or SUV's) if you have bars now... I heard those help quite a bit

problem solved + theft proof.

I like this idea, the trunk lid is made from 2 pieces spot welded together tho.. wouldn't be possible to reinforce the top portion unless I cut the two peices apart first....

move your trunk latch, so that u have to close the trunk harder but a better seal..
