NEED the perfect sub

Just depends on your budget and what you're looking for in a sub. Are you looking for 2 12's? 1 15? or what? You want more SPL or SQ or both? What type of music you listen to on a daily basis?

When it comes to black friday, SSA, Ficaraudio, soundqubed, are all having a sale.

The brands you listed are all good contenders, but will ultimately depend on how much you willing to spend.

why does everyone **** on alpine lol.....are they just overpriced ?
It's a little overpriced, not as much as JL though. It's decent but you can find better for the price especially since black friday is coming up.

Look into all the brands mentioned.. You'll most likely find something you like for your price range.

yea soundqubed or american bass seems like the way to go.....im mostly looking for durability and loudness but sound quality is also important. my budget for 6-8 speakers, 4 subs and 2 amps is around $ 3000-4000 to put on a party bus.

everyones been super helpful on these threads but i just want to make the right decision on the subs, amps and speakers because its a business im running and they need to last, be loud and sound good

Where are the subs gonna be mounted? Is it all gonna be in a sealed wall? Or ported boxes? You should get 4 18's if you can fit it to get more loud for less money.

I'm assuming you're gonna be upgrading the alternator and get extra batteries right? You're gonna need a lot of power for this party bus sound system

You can get the Soundqubed 3500D.1 amp for about $600 plus tax and shipping on black friday. It does 4300 @ 1 ohm with 14.4 v. If you get 4 dual 2 ohm subs, it can end up with a 1 ohm load. I think the Dayton Ultimax would be a good sub for the price. 4 of these 18's would be a perfect match for that. http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-um18-22-18-ultimax-dvc-subwoofer-2-ohms-per-coil--295-518 Should be plenty loud as long as you have the room for them. Make sure you have the electrical to back this all up. Use 1/0 OFC wiring along with the big 3 upgrade.

You could get a bunch of coaxials and put them in small sealed enclosures and mount them in the corners for that surround sound. Hook them all up to one powerful amp.

After electrical upgrades and wiring, you should be within your $3000-4000 limit.

Party bus, huh? First off, how much room are you willing to sacrifice? And HOW loud do you want it to be?

If the subs are at the back of the bus, you're going to be investing a LOT of money on power wire, because you'll need both longer runs and more runs due to the length.

Yea it would be smart to put the subs close to the front of the bus so you can save money. Where is the entrance to the bus for the customers? Do you have any pics of the inside of the bus?

If you really have to put the subs in the back, think about using some thick 2/0 awg welding wire . It's almost as good as a brand name 1/0 awg OFC wire but much cheaper, just not as flexible.

ill send pics after the buildout and you guys can give me some suggestions, they have to put in the steel structure for the seating then im gonna have an electrician do a full checkup and see if I need an extra battery. Ill definitely need the big 3 and then some but I'm tryin to think of a best setup. Any thoughts on coaxials?
