need suggestions

i think i may have made a bad purchase.

i got a pair of these:

off ebay for pretty cheap. they seem nice, but i started re-doing some wiring today and realized i need another 1/0 input on the (+) side!

for the (-) side i have a 1/0 run to the chasis and a 4AWG run that was already there (but is not going to the chasis, looks like it goes to the engine block, but i'm not sure). i also re-did the chasis-to-engine block wire with 1/0.

on the (+) side i currently have the stock 4AWG and 8AWG that both run into the fuse box, so i'd like to leave them. i have a run of 8AWG going to my front stage amp and a run of 4AWG (in the 1/0 input of the battery terminal) going to my sub amp.

i have a spool of 1/0 on the way, so i'll be doing 1/0 from the alternator to the (+) of the battery and 1/0 back to the sub amp as well. the problem is, i only have a single 1/0 connection on my battery terminal and no place to put a ring terminal!

also, i'd like to switch the front stage amp over to 4AWG just in case i ever upgrade, and then remove the run of 8AWG.

so i need:

(2) 1/0 inputs

(2) 4 AWG inputs

(1) 8 AWG input

my idea is to do a makeshift version of this:

i used these for my ground connections:

so i thought i could use the same style butt connector:

and use a short length of solid copper rod as output.

i'd like to know how big of a step down i could safely take? like could i put the stock 4AWG and 8AWG into one side of the butt connector and then connect that to the 8AWG input (with solid copper)? or would that not conduct enough?

any other suggestions to get around my problem? or should i just look for a new (+) terminal? (suggestions)?

I could imagine if it was a solid copper rod, but a small copper tube... I really don't think that's going to conduct enough. I get your idea here, and it sounds alright, besides that. If you could clarify one thing for me though, it would help me out in helping you out a ton.

Are you talking about the 4awg and 8awg that run into the fuse box? Also, what 8awg input are you talking about?

oops, i meant copper tube. fixed it now. my whole idea is that a solid copper tube will conduct as well as stranded wiring of a larger diameter.

yes i mean the two stock wires into the butt connector, and that into the 8WAG input on the battery terminal.
