Ok my friend has a 2006 four door Ford F150 and he is want sing me to find a system for him. The subs are gonna have to go under the back seats. He knows there isn't a lot room so hes prolly gonna have to get 10s. He said he wants something that gets pretty loud but doesn't sound like shit so it will be a SQL setup.

So could someone make some suggestions on what some good subs would be. Something that requires very little air space but are pretty good SQL subs. Money doesn't really matter to him.

The subs should be fired upward right? I seen a box made for that truck that fired them downward, doesn't really make any sense to me.

So please make some suggestions.

I don't know when it's coming out, but I think it's in the next month or two. I know Pioneer makes some shallow mount subs as well. Two 8"s maybe?

EDIT:

Those Xtec 10"s are supposed to be pretty awesome as well, and if you buy direct from Exile (you really don't have that much of a choice...) it's only $150 shipped, at least that's what they told me in an email.

Hmm...I wonder how much output those subs put out. I have about 1.5-1.75 to work with and am about to order a pioneer TS-w30002spl 12" to go under my dodge rams back seat. My box builder said he can get 1.75. So two of the eDs vs. 1 Pioneer 12"?

That eD is mainly a SQ sub, not SPL, but I'd imagine two of them could handle one Pioneer 12". The Xtec 10"s by Exile are supposed to be great as well, and they only need about .5 cu ft a piece (I think it's .3 for SQ and .6 for SPL). And I can't confirm how long you'd have to wait for the release of those subs, I'm just assuming it's getting close because of forum talk.

Any other suggestions? Is there any more known brands like kicker or alpine?

There is no way he could put some type r's under is there? Or maybe some cvr or cvx?

Keep the suggestions coming

I am going to measure most likely this weekend to see how much room there is.
