Need suggestions for a 4 12" 2000 watt build

I have been out of the audio world for the last 15 or so years and really need some quality advice on a new build. I just bought a 05 Escalade ESV and I am looking to do a 4 12' sub enclosure. This is my daily driver, grocerygetter, kid hauler etc. With that said I am trying to make a 3 piece set up to be easily removable. Two seperate, MDF,fiberglass boxes, each with 2 chambers individualy ported with an amp rack mounted between them. I plan on each box to house 2 12" subs. The reason I have decided to go with a 4 12" sub set up is becasue i would at least like to have the option to compete in the Midwest SPL Basic 3, or Advanced 1 division. As a complete noob of course. Both of these classes will allow up to 1-18, 2-15’s, 4-12’s or 6-10’s, up to 2,000 watts ( max clamped ) . *I figured with the amount of air space i had 4 12"s would be my best option.

My issue is finding the right sub/amp combo. Like I said I haven't done this forever. I am on a budget, trying to keep it around $1000 for 4 subs & amp(s). And although if I were to compete at 2000 watts, would still like to have more power at my disposal. So far all I have looked at is db drive components, but after two weeks I haven't gotten anywhere. So what would you suggest? Ty in advance!

you might need to up your budget a bit ,i'd look at the ascendant arsenals or even chaos woofers .as for amps there is alot of choices out there ,but with your budget look for used ,maybe even some dc level 3s would do nicely too

With your budget I would go with 4 12" SA-12 (Sundown), since they are on sale. 2000 watts is going to be a little low for them though. Or you could even go with 4 12" SSA DCONs. These will be well within your budget, you will be overpowering them some, but should be ok with the right box and gain settings. And this will leave you a good amount for wire and amps.

Or IA Audio 187. They are really inexpensive, and well built subs.

OP, I just modeled a Chaos 12 in WinISD (not a perfect program, but does a lot for what it is), and I'm NOT liking what I see at all. A JBL GTO 12 single 4 ohm out models it with half the wattage. JBL P1224 even more so.

A friend of mine has a DC Pai2000 for sale at caco for 350$ AFAIK. Amp will do close to 3KW with strong electrical at .5 ohm. Definitely a beast for 2000W capped classes.

Sundown SA series are strong. Don't rule out the Alpine R's. They can get loud in a good box and are about the best thing going for that class in mainstream brands.

I'm actually going the same route minus the competition circuits. Going with 4 12" T3's and a Massive N4 in my Sequoia. Good luck with your build bro. I got my subs for $200 bucks locally and they slam for the price. Don't know about competition level stuff though.
