I have a 6 ch amp currently I have front components, 60 watts each side, *rear speakers 60 watts each.
Rear 5th and 6th amps channels 110 w each now bridged *for 300w driving one sub.
what would be the best way to drive everything, since my components can be bi amped? I have a 6 ch amp, my HU has 6 channels, passive HU crossovers for fronts and rears are shared or not independent but the sub channels do have LP options, volume, *phase etc.
My options:
A. Use the amps first 4 channels *bridged to drive front components in bi amp mode with 60 watts each tweeter and each mid , *leave the las 2 ch bridged to drive sub the way it is but loose rear speakers since using rear RCA's will keep HU from using the HU's amp rear channels to drive rears.
B. bridge fronts and send 150w/ch *to components, forget bi amping components and keep sub and have the HU drive the rears (no bi amp but more power to fronts) keep rears with HU driving them.
C. *Bi amp by using the front channels to drive tweeters, *bridge the rear channels (3rd and 4th) to drive sub with only 170w, use the 5th and 6th ch from amp to drive front mids and not loose the rears by having the HU drive the rears. ( the only problem here is my limitations to use use only the HP LP for the old JBL amp since the HU' xovers are not independent and I will be sending HP above *80hz to sub, and loosing all the HU sub's feature's at the same time using the HU' sub' s options to the front mids having extra flexibility independent volume level, phase and LP options.
I know this case is a bit complicated, it's a hard call and only someone doing something similar could tell me what will work better. I just want better cleaner sound from my existing components.
I'm in the process to get a better HU but for now this are my only options and I wonder what would work better wanting to keep the rear speakers.
Thanks
