Need someone to learn me about blow-throughs

I'm deciding between an suv and a truck for my next car, but given my requirements in a vehicle, a truck is seeming like a much better option. I like the idea of a blow-through, but I honestly know nothing about them. What are the pro's and con's? I don't even know where to start asking questions...can someone just tell me everything they know about them?
