I have a HK1000D amp and the other day when i was drivin it went into protect. I wasnt pushing it hard or anything so it kinda made me think why it would do that. so when i left work that day the protection turned back off and it worked fine for about 2 days.

Last night it went back into protect and it stays there. Its not anything electrical that i did, cuz i hooked it up inside my hhouse to wiring of an existing amp and it still goes into protect.

What should i do? power it up and check with a dmm? what do you guys think is the problem..have been lookin through the circuit board and nothing looks burnt out so?!?!?! haha let me know if anything comes to mind. Thanks

i had that problem with my hifonics nx600. for some reason it went into protect. so i unhooked it to checc out if any of my wiring was shorted or something. nope. none. hooked it bacc up and it wasnt in protect anymore. weird. try disconnecting all cables that go to it and then re-connecting?
