Need some troubleshooting help

Ok I have a few problems that I thought pulling my headunit out and securing connections would help, But it didn't. So here goes.

1) When I start my stereo, there is a pop sound when my amps turn on.

2) There is a Hiss sound when the CD player is on. It does not increase with volume, nor is in altenator whine. Its just a HISSSSSSSSS sound when played at low volumes. If I change CD's the hiss goes away during the switch.

3) My Radio reception is terrible. I thought the antenna must have come undone somehow when I was installing my new RCA's, but now that my HU is out, I see its just fine.

Any ideas whats going on here?

Wow! I changed the main ground connection and it fixed all the problems! Strange to me that the main ground would affect the FM part of the radio, but sure enough, I change the ground and poof the radio works fine again!

Well I was wrong. I did get my FM reception back, but I still have a pop when my system powers up, and a low level hiss in the background. I did change my main ground, and I just got the screw to reground my head unit. I have to go out for dinner though so I will have to work on that later tonight.

I sure hope that fixes the problem. If not I am clueless on whats wrong.
