i cant disagree with you there but he would need at least a good 1200rms on tap at 2ohm for those and thats generally in the expensive range of amps. hell i just bought myself another pbr300x1 and a pair of rockford r2 shallows. honsetly my only complaint with these amps 1 they get hot as fudge and 2 they only take 10guage power or some of brand 8 gauge.Pssshhhh like any of us need an excuse to buy another amp lol
External aero port?Hmm.. ok i will look into those. It just seems kind of nuts to have 2 10"s ported in such a small enclosure. I have no idea where i would put the port?
u could do two tens down firing with an aero port facing the front or rear. make the box 1.5cubs and throw a 4inch aero in there 20-22 inches long and u would be good to go.Hmm.. ok i will look into those. Dont forget about sub and port displacementu could do two tens down firing with an aero port facing the front or rear. make the box 1.5cubs and throw a 4inch aero in there 20-22 inches long and u would be good to go.

Are you just going to use one?hmm its only single voice coil? its fairly cheap sub too? seems like dayton does home audio stuff. would something like a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200 work on it?
i just dont know about the whole port issue. Its going to be hard to fit it into the box because of the design?

O no your good then I just wasnt reading that right... The new BRZ series are good amps but Id go a little bigger to give you some head room when setting your gain... Ill look at ports right now...One as in what? the amp? I was hoping to run two 10"s. That amp is rated at 1200w rms at 1ohm - not sure how good it is. Guys - i have been out of the audio stuff for years. Im like a noob all over again. My amp/sub combo right now is about 3 years old. I was heavy back into this stuff in like 04'. I dont know WTF is good anymore, i have had to look up everything you guys brought up lol.
aero ports? i see one that goes to 17" long. Is there a good program for tuning/designing subboxes?
your telling me that these two 10's will need 600rms a peice off a class d mono amp? so in reality, i will need to double my amp? thats insane.
You dont have to use flares if that is easier for you... You could just leace it outside of the box a little just make sure its sealed well![]()
like this? the port would have to fire to the rear, which it would fire directly into the rear wall. it wouldnt work. if i forced the port out the front, i would have recess the the angle of the front of the box...which i could do. it would be a major pain in the *** though.
Or i could have it firing upwords? it would be close to the two subs though?
