need some help

well today is bad news. recently my sub was acting wierd and then it just stop working so today i finally took it out of the box and i see that one of the wires thats on the cone there is 4 of them its a 12 kicker l7 DVC and one of the wires looks like it just got ripped of the contact where it connects from the cone to the metal contact where the wire goes. Sorry i dont know about the part names. But anyway what can i do i mean the wire is really small and tryign to fit a sodering gun in there will be hard unless i just wire cut it and then like shrink rap one wire on it then sodering the other end to the contact. is their anyway i can dissable the sub or something and i think this happned because on my amp it has a thing that says 30hz to 300 hz and i had it on 300hz do you think thats what did it? but the sub was being underpowered other than that

set at 300hz??? looks like it was pushed past mechanical limits...
