This is going to be my first DIY install...and I'm looking for some suggestions...first off, I have an Alpine 7897 deck, have had it for quite a few months and I think its the best freakin deck ever....but anyways, I had an old system, but sold it to build one myself. I recently purchased 2 12" Audiobahn AW12006Q series subs, rated at 1100 watts rms each, dual 4 ohm voie coils. I now must decide on an amp. I was looking on ebay for one, and found a few choices- here they are:
-Audiobahn A18001D amp, 1800 watts x 1 @ 1 ohm-$417
-MA audio 4002 class d amp, 700 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms, 4000 x 1 @ 1 ohm-$3-somethin
-Audiobahn A1500HCQ, 2000 watts x 1 @ 1 ohm-$445
-MTX8100D, 1500 watts x 1 @ 1 ohm-$5-something
Im looking to stay in the $500 range, anyone have an opinion on which one, or any other ones to suggest? I plan on either running each sub in parallel @ 2 ohms, or run both in parallel in a 1 ohm load, so im looking for an amp that is around 1000watts x 2 @2 ohms, or 2000watts x 1 @ 1 ohm.
Also, I plan on making a sealed sub enclosure, anyone know what dimensions I should make??
Its in a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
thanks...
