need some help with proper imaging

ok i have beens earching but still have not found the answers i am looking for.

i am gonna make some door pannels so i can aim my mid bass and tweeters for better imaging, and also seal them for some better sound.

now how should i aim the mid bass 6.5 and the tweeter? like what direction? opposite headrest? all towards drivers head?

also should i section the pannels so the tweeter does not share the same airspace as the mid bass? how big should the tweeter section be airspace wise? or does it not matter for a tweeter?

sorry im a noob just trying to learn

gonna be using some jbl p650c's with 160 watts rms at 4 ohm each channel

i usually try to aim my passanger side midbass' about 5" out and two inches down from my chin while im sitting normally in the driver seat. and then i align the passanger seat the same way and aim the same way.

i would prolly aim the tweet a few inches further forward and a bit higher to pull the soundstage that way a bit more. prolly like 8" straight out from your chin.

if you can, get a lazer pointer and attach it to a piece of cardboard thats the same size as your midbass and then tweeter, and place it until it gets to that point. then you have an idea of the angle and you can pin point them. a good way to do it is put a piece of tape on the window where the lazer point hits it when aimed perfectly, and then when you go to put your baffles on, tape that cardboard piece with the lazer pen to the baffle and point it to the spot, and then hot-glue the baffle in place with some wooden dowels (i use chopsticks, cut em to length. they are free aaha)

hmm aright so bascially you are making a cross in the center of the car of the 2 sounds? so they mesh roughly in between both people. finishing up my new ported box tomorow then on to some pods

I was thinking you would aim just under the dome light between the seats..

Use cardboard to block off the standing waves for the test hearing..
