so i got a new truck(silverado) that doesnt allow for big boxes obviously. so now i am really confused as to what i should go for. im thinkin 8's are gonna be the way to go but being that i have never used them i am kinda scared that the output will not be there. so anyone with 8" experience please chime in. i was thinkin bout going 2 8L7's sealed or maybe 1 8W7 ported. how loud are these gonna get? was also offered some 9Kv's that i could run sealed as well.

with the right box and proper power, 8's can get pretty loud. louder than some would expect. ive had quite a few people tell me my two 8" tc's are louder than alot of dual 12" setups in the area..

some forum member hit a 140.x with one 8L7 in thier truck,iirc...

looking into how much space and money i have, it is either looking like 1 8W7 or L7 ported or 2 of the 9kv.2 's sealed becuase i still need room to mount my amp under the seats as well

god just sucks cause i know either way i go im more than likely gonna be disappointed!!!!

leaning towards the ported box though, kinda have an itch to do some fiberglassin!!!!! just wonder if the W7 is worth the extra $$$$

I liked the 8w7 more than the DD 1008. I can't really compare it to other systems, cuz they have all been bigger set-ups. but for the power and size, the 8w7 is hard to beat. you can pick one up used for a good price.
