Going to see some used morel elates tomorrow, they come with:

-2 morel elate 6 mids (from the 3 way setup)

-2 morel mt23 tweets

-2 morel mx22 crossovers

Ill be running the comps with a MB Quart DSC4125 4-Channel amp

125 watts x 4 chan RMS @ 4-ohms

250 watts x 4 chan RMS @ 2-ohms

500 watts x 2 chan RMS @ 4-ohms Bridged

http://www.maxxsonics.net/manuals/mbquart/pdfs/MBQuart08DiscusAmplifierManual.pdf

How should i run them to make sure they work well with no problems? Should i just run them passively with the "standard wire connection"?

Regarding my amp, should i just run it like this and set it to two channels on the amp?

Any other info regarding wiring this up would be useful, ive never setup/used components before...

I don't see any good options for that amplifier, the Morel's have a 160wrms and 1000 peak rating, you would be underdriving them by 35 watts with 125wrms channel and overdriving with 250wrms by a good 90 watts and i'm not even sure how you could wire to create a 2~ load impedance to begin with..

From Empirical Audio:

Some speakers may benefit from bi-wiring, particularly those which have a tweeter with a higher impedance than the woofer. Also, IF resonance in cables is audible through some secondary mechanism, biwiring may reduce this by creating an unbalanced transmission-line that will tend to damp the resonance.

i just want to test them on this amp, 125 will do fine to see if they are functional right?...
