Need some help running numbers... should I run a 15" or 18"?

Hey guys I'm in the process of deciding on what sub to get and the first thing I should get figured out is if I should run a single 15" or 18".

The box I want will be somewhere around (width/height/depth) 44x15x28 with double 6" aeroports and .75 mdf. What cu ft am I looking at for this setup? For testing purposes let's say it's a 15"/18" AA Havoc. The 18" calls for minimum 6 cu ft, so I need to know if my box will serve well for this.

if u have the cubes for a 18 then run one if u want. It's about what you want if u have the room. I dont feel like figuring out how many cubes that is to tell or not.

That;s what I'm saying... I'd prefer the 18" but I don't know how to run numbers to figure out the cu ft. I know there's a calculator for L ports but idk about the aeroports.

that is about 10.7 cubes which is more than enough for any 18 if you want to run one

yea even after port and woofer displacement you should have more than enough and just to let you know to figure out cubes... HxWxD divided by 1728

alright thanks, is the formula for figuring out port and woofer displacement just as simple?

Looking like 8.8ish without anything figured so probably around 8 then figure some bracing. I would guess somewhere around 7.25ish which is plenty for a Havoc.

thanks for the info. Hopefully the guy still has the Havoc for sale, I think an 18" with double aero's looks MEAN as ****!!
