Need some help in understanding ohm's

I have a Crossfire TEK 150.2. It's capable of running 2 ohm, which if I'm correct would be the ohm load with 2 4 ohm subs. When an amp says it runs 2 ohm, does that usually mean stereo & mono? I'm thinking of trying out some of these Assasin 10's, and I wan to make sure I can get the max out of my amp. They only offer 4 ohm subs. Thanks

It will say what it can or can't do. If it is 2ohms bridged it will say on the spec sheet. Let me look......

2ohm stereo stable. Each channel can be ran @ 2ohms.

I don't have the original spec sheet on the amp, and I can't find it on crossfire's website. It's two channel, and I think you're telling me bad news that it can be ran @ two ohm stereo not 2 ohm mono. Which is what I would need for 2 4 ohm subs? Unless I run it 4 ohm stereo. Am I following you guys correctly.

Anyone know how I can get the specs on this amp?

It can be run 4ohm stereo, 2ohm stereo, or 4ohm bridged.

You can wire the 4ohm subs stereo. Or just buy one and bridge it.

not correct, unless you wire each down to 2 ohm one per each channel.

If it was a single channel, or you wanted to bridge it, you would end up with a 1 ohm load, or a 4 ohm load.

You can only hook it up that way to one channel. If you bridge the amp like that, you run the risk of damaging it.

Yes, this is not the right sub/amp combo.. You would only be running @ half power.. That Crossfire would not do well running bridged @ 2 ohms.. Trust me, I know thier amps well..
