So I'm upgrading my car audio speakers.. the mids and highs. I'm all set on the Low with a Solo X 12inch subwoofer. Loud as hell.

Im getting 4 Power Acoustik 6.5 mid Bass drivers. Each is rated 300Watts (100) RMS each. So thats 1200Watts total (400RMS).

Im also getting two 5 inch massive tweeters which are rated 500watts (250) RMS each so that's a total of 1000Watts (500RMS).

Total watts for all are 2200Watts (900)RMS. Now do I have to get two amps.. as in one for the Mid Bass drivers and one for the Tweeters? OR can I wired the four speakers and two tweeters with a crossover into one amp??

Please help! Thanks!!

buy a 4 channel amp...

run the 4 mids on the rear 2 channels and the tweets on the front 2 channels..

it works trust us kiddo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I see I see.. you guys are the best. Question now is what amp do you guys think is acceptable? Nothing to pricey and nothing to cheap. I'm getting a total of 900RMS from the tweets and mids, so can i Round that off to 1000RMS??

wire like this ^^^^

and the total doesnt work like that bc youre wiring speakers together. look for an amp that around 125x4@4ohms. which should give you 125rms to each tweeter and 250@2(typically) for each pair of mids
