got 2 ALPINE TYPE R'S dual 2 ohm's

KENWOOD KAC-9152D amp, i want to run it at 2 ohms.

the amp is a little confusing, theres ++ -- spearker out put. (set up just like that)

any help would be great, and a little help with PHASE and ISF setting's.

thanks

From what it looks like on Kenwoods site, they're just extra plugs for you to plug speakers in to. SO, your d2's would be series at the sub, and just wire it to one set of + and - at the amp. The second sub would also be series at the sub, and wire it to either of the sets of + and -.

Phase would be for setting up your subs polarity. Switching between 0 and 180 would be like taking your subs, and hooking the + to - and then the - to +.

ISF I'm not sure about. It's probably just a subsonic filter, a glorified high pass made so you don't damage your subs when using a ported box.

thanks, thats how i have it but i wasnt sure if it was right.

can you give me some advice on how i should set thoes setting's?

how do you break in sub's?

Gain, follow the tutorial in the AMP section.

ISF: if it IS subsonic filter, set to whatever your tuning frequency is. IF you have a sealed box, set it to the lowest it goes.

Phase: do whatever sounds best.

Don't worry about breaking in subs. If you do worry, just give them normal play for a while. Don't crank the volume to hear the dbz
