Ok so my sub blew a few days ago and all I had in storage was a Jensen XS1212 so I threw that in a sealed box. I am still using my Kenwood Kac-7201 for an amp. If you had this as a setup how would you set the amp for best results? Also I would assume you would bridge this.

That sub is rated at 175 watts. That amp will burn those coils out. Your amp put out 500W @4 ohms bridged. I would just wire it to the Right or Left channel... and this is assuming that your sub is a single 4 ohm sub. this is what your amp is rated at

4 ohms: 170 watts x 2 chan.

2 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.
