Need some advice

I know a guy who builds boxes like professionally who will build it for free if i pay for materials. and i looked at the audioque subs dude linked too and the specs didnt look too good. im not on kickers nuts they just have nice ****.
They didn't look too good to YOU, because you've never heard of them before. Please enlighten me as to where an SDC falls short of a CVR. You probably don't have a clue what 1/10th of those specs mean or affect the sub. Not trying to kill your dreams here but money spent on kicker is wasted. Unless it's some real nice old school stuff.

I have spent almost exactly a grand on my setup, and I am more than satisfied with it!

I am very happy with my Kenwood equipment.

If you live close to 61102 I can show you how it sounds.

I'm sure you could get a little bit better than what I have now, but it works, and it works well.

well the person i know, is the owner of a very well known (around here non-franchise) store. i texted him those subs and he texted back comparing those subs with the aluminized cvr subs and explaining what the specs ment how it took role etc etc and it seemed they came out on top. Now I dont see why your getting so defensive im just stating my initial expression if you would enlighten ME and explain why you say X is better than X please do I honestly would appreciate it. Also im picking up this box probably for 50$

NICE SUBWOOFER BOX!!!!W/FREE SUBS!!!! MUST GO!!!

and "dude" your bent period try loosening up and actually helping instead of being a **** about stuff?. and theres someone who goes to my school who has 2 15 l5 and with a 1200watt fosgate amp his subs made this chicks textbook flap open pages outside of the car. no not like a mile away but she was outside next to it. and he is actually very knowledgeable over 20 years in the car audio system field but im not about to go to his store/house and waste like several hours of his time when I could POTENTIALLY find some knowledgeable people here who could break sh*t down and help me out. apparently asking for help with a car audio system is too much to ask from a car audio forum.

ALSO re-reading some of your post about _____ will be "louder" than the comps im not going for how loud they are in purity but also want VERY clean crisp and accurate sounding subs.

The best you are gonna get for your budget will probably be FI subs. Kicker is over hyped, mass produced. Fi is decently loud, and very good sound quality. Get a decent used sq amp to run em and enjoy.

Also you should read up on frequencies, and what the music you listen to plays. I can almost guarentee you that you are going to run stock speakers with a couple subs. When you would probably be better suited with a nice deck, a good 4 channel amp, and some decent mids/tweets, or a 5 channel with an 8" sub for some beats.

Thank you, and could you link me to some good 15 Fi. Also yes Im using stock speaker with the 2 subs but I do plan on upgrading those very soon too, to some nice higher end speakers. I listen to hip-hop/rap. Also is a Rockford fosgate power 1500 BD amp, not a very good amp? also would a premier pioneer headunit be better than the Alpine CDA-105 I was previously looking at?

Well the bd is decent. Again, overpriced for what it is. Pretty much anything you buy in a box store will be had better/cheaper in the "underground". These are small companies with much better products.

Google Ficaraudio I do believe. Also for power, check out the audiopipe 1500.1 I think. It is 1500 watts for like $170 or 80. You may be able to source some nice components here for cheap, and an amp for them, and still come in under your budget.

Always keep an eye on here for deals. Like in the alpine 205 thread here....he has 2 Eclipse subs that are beauties. They would destroy the kickers for sound and power capabilities.

I have run kicker but thats just because I got a great deal and it is older ish stuff. I got 4 10" l7's(2002 model) w/ a direct fire port syster for 390. Just look around I would agree for the money you can get a lot better then kicker and i'm running kicker lol. I'd go with the aq's, with an aq 1200. Look around and buy the amp used. Wiring can also be picked up for pennys on the dollar here. As for decks I think jvc makes the best budget deck next too kenwood but the kenwoods are a tab more expensive. Audiopipe or planet audio have great budget amps as well.

Get a set of components for the front and some coaxials for the back and run some decent power to the components and you should be fine.
