Need some advice

Ok so I have about a 1 thousand dollar budget. That is including buying subs a amp headunit and box.

I have a general idea of what im looking for which is the following

2x 15Inch kicker comps

sealed box

mainly my question is like what specifics for the subs should i look for should i get single or double 2 or 4 ohm subs. Also what is a good 200ish dollar amp that will push these nicely and will match with the single/double 2/4 ohm subs and should I have it wired in series or parallel.

I am very new to the whole subs scene and lack alot of knowledge any advice will help.

Ok so I was reading some posts i can get 2 kicker comp 15inchs with a ported box for 369.99 all brand new at the audio store by my house is this a decent deal?

I kinda got offtrack but i was readin some threads and posts and i saw a couple ppl say for rap/hip-hop ported beats sealed?

I want good sound quality, that deep chest pounding bass, along with being able to hear it bang outside of the car.

So what would be better sealed or ported box along with single/double 2/4ohm sub? or should I just pickup the 2x 15s with the ported box for 369.99 and just buy a amp he advises that goes with the sub instead of trying to buy everything seperate.

if u wanted to stay the kicker route, grab 2 r4 cvx on an ap1800 in a ported box...**** will BANG, jus watch ur gain

your not going to be happy with comps. with a grand to spend on everything, you could do a hell of alot better than 369 for a prefab box and low power 15s.

instead of people just hating why cant someone actually HELP me. if you dont think comps are the best route try actually telling me what a more advisable route would be. what subs to get etc etc

Look on the classifieds here, DD, Sundown, Fi, many more that will kill the comps. See what sub is out there that you want and then look for an amp that can push them. Have someone build you a ported box, either local(not at a shop) or ship you one from here. Plenty of box builders on here.

get dc audio subs. level 4 or xl will be good. have someone build you a box. go with a memphis or sundown amp knu konceptz wire, hu depends on what you want. ive got a pioneer and i love it. with this your going to have to upgrade electrical and front/rear stage and add an amp to those to keep up with your substage...good luck. 1000 dollars could potentially take you pretty far if you know what you're doing.

Thanks guys l5 and l7 were running prettty pricey. and i have to buy a headunit, a 70$ wirekit amp subs box and wire kit. Its not like i have a grand solely for the subs/amp.

and i was looking at 2x 15inch kicker CVR aluminized dual 4 ohm. and probably going to try to pickup a fosgate power 1500bd amp. if that sounds like a decent setup

also for the headunit i was lookin at alpine CDA-105.

Exactly, you said subs amp HU and box.

Get off of kickers nuts, there is much better. Look at audioque.com, knukoncetpz.com, soundsolutionsaudio.com

Can you build a box? Can you install this stuff? We need to know where you're coming from here.

I know a guy who builds boxes like professionally who will build it for free if i pay for materials. and i looked at the audioque subs dude linked too and the specs didnt look too good. im not on kickers nuts they just have nice ****.
