I need some advice on what is the best route for my situation. I have a full system installed:
Two 12" kicker L5s (sealed box)
US amps MD2D
1/0 gauge knuconceptz
4 upgraded door speakers
kicker something amp for doors
Now sitting here in my room i have two 15" PAP WMDs, and as much as i would like to use them, idk if it is going to be worth the struggle and money to install them.
I would stick with my 2 12"s i have now, because i love the way they sound in a sealed box compared to my friends L5's in a ported box, but i want more output.
So my questions are:
1) is it possible to get that full, deep sound with a ported box compared to the loud "slap" bass my friend is getting out of his L5's
2)If i sold the WMD's, would it be more advisable to upgrade my electrical to push more power to my L5's so i could get more output while maintaining that sound. Or would i be better off keeping my electrical and going another route, whether that be buying new 12s or installing the 15"s.
Appreciate the help, always gotten my advice from here on ca.com
