I know everyone hates the "pick my amp" threads... but I did search and I am not sure what I am going to do.

I have a D5 600.4 that I got off caraudioshoppe on ebay, I have had nothing but problems with this amplifier, seriously I havent had it installed for a week and its been returned 2 times for repairs. I dont even think they are sending it to Diamond Audio for the repair, at this point I dont even know if it is a legitamate diamond amplifier. I got it in march and it just starting blowing fuses, so I sent it in, 2 months later I got it back and 2 out of 4 rca's didnt work, now I got it back and its missing the stupid little speaker allen screws so I cant use all 4 channels. This does not seem like the work of a company like diamond.

I contacted car audio shoppe and demanded that I get a refund on this amplifier.. I told them that I can get the new d6 series 600.4 for about 10 more.... ( and for some reason they can get me the new D6 series amp)

well here is where I need some help....

I have been thinking of getting the D6 1500.1 amp to compliment the XXX I just got, if so I would get the d6 600.4 as well and sell my current D5 1200.1 to help fund the new amps. Do you think I should consider paying 300 more per amp ( I am guessing at this #) to get the lifetime warranty? I am thinking of it but that is a lot of money for them then...

I am looking for suggestions as well as other amp combinations, I want a single brand amp setup... I was also thinking about holding off till the 22.1 comes out...

ARC audio would be a good way to go. They have several amps that you would love. Unfortunatly, they're a bit more expensive than Diamond new. Used, they're cheaper, but still not that affordable. You could look into getting a 4150xxk or the older 4150CXL for your comps, and then a 2500xxk/2500CXL or a 1500xxk/1500CXL-R to run the subs.

I am not familiar with arc audio specifically, although I have read about them much....

are all of the amps that you listed class a/b amps

FYI.... its for a single 12XXX
