Need some 6.5" comps, BUT... with a 1.9" mounting depth?

I'm looking at the construction of my doors and hey... The windows would come down on the speakers that I was getting ready to buy. It looks like I can't have much depth to my front comps. All I want is a good clean sound with a little bass from the fronts (Doesn't have to be amazing bass obviously). I'm just kind of wondering my opinions with this mounting depth?

I'm currently running a rockford amp, pushing 62.5RMSx4 @4 Ohms to all of my speakers.

Well if you use a 3/4" MDF baffle then you would have enough room for most mids on the market and thus your choices would not be limited.

What kind of car is it? My Impreza factory speaker is less than 2" deep, but with a baffle I can squeeze a bit over 2.5" deep speakers in there.

It's actually a 95 Integra. How deep are 6.5 Alpine R Comps, do you know?

Have you tried cutting the basket? That's what I did to fit the Infinity three ways in my integra. Also another member in my forum used the 3/4" mdf spacers for his rainbows' 2.6" mounting depth and that fit fine.

my doors are reallyyyy shallow, and really tight to the speakers, so i couldnt use a baffle.

but im going with the rainbow xplains. 1.8 in.

Make some 3/4" baffles

I put DLS MS6's in my friends 94 teg with the baffles. They fit just fine.

Had to trim the opening becase the magnet on those mids are pretty big.

The accords are way shallower. I had to get shallow mount 6.5's for my 94 accord.
