Need slim components help!

Alright, so I had some eDi 6500's but they are too deep for my door. Basically I only have about 2.3" to work with for mounting depth. I have a Nine.2 amp so it's 100-120x2 @4ohms. I would like to go 5.25's since that's what the stock panel is made for, but if I know 6 1/2's will be able to fit in the door then I'll go with them. I want something that will be loud and clear when I need to turn up the volume. SQ is a big need for me as I'm trying to go for a SQ system. Let me know some possibilities. This is for an 94 RX-7

I should be recieving my NEXt Audio Emotions shallow mount components on monday.

I dont have any info about them. I dont think they are cheap. More of a high end company.

if you want some really cheap ones i would go with those. jdizzle did a review on them and said they sounded great.

Ok, heres the dilemma now. I have eDi 6500's and a Nine.2 The question is, should I get custom work done to fit these? I went around and the cost is ganna be around $400 for a custom fiberglass pod for these installed with tweeter. Good deal or what?
