its gonna be for a single 15" L7. external dimensions are 30Wx16Hx30L. its gonna be sub and port forward. i want a 33hz port, kicker says the port needs to be 50 sq in. and 15in long. anyone wanna whip up a quick design for me? simple L port is cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

And I'd be careful with those cutouts, I'd make them after the enclosure's put together just incase...with such little material left they could break pretty easily if not supported well.

f'in sweet dude. anyway u can make it to those external dimensions from before? or is that like as close to the tuning and everything u can get wit those dimensions? also for those 45s what do u use to cut that??? all my past boxes we had to use a skillsaw cuz we dont have a table saw. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif lots of liquid nails to fix uneven cuts lol. but this time around i think ima have home depot do the cutting hahaah. but yeh those 45s what you use to cut those??

No prob

And pretty much all circular saws nowadays have a 45-degree tilt, even if you have to rent/borrow one from somebody. As for filling the space, it wouldnt really be needed...I was killing space with the 45's as it is.

I would just suggest going and getting a decent circular saw (Hitachi makes a pretty darn good one that my buddy got, I like it and it tilts) and a straight-edge to use with it, you should be able to get a pretty darn good enclosure out of that.

And I wouldnt suggest liquid nails...I'd go with Titebond II with 1 5/8 coarse-thread drywall screws with a 3/32" bit for predrilling. I would also suggest getting a small box of 1 1/4" coarse-thread drywall screws to attach the two panels to make the front baffle.

ok titebond II it is. already got the coarse thread drywall screws at my parents house from building my last box. my dad has a good circular saw so i guess we should be able to use that for the 45s. do u have a cut sheet for that box or should i just piece it out on my own? oo and what do u mean by filling space? i want as much space in there as possible right? Kicker says that sub can take up to 6ft.

tru that u in like bradenton sarasota area? i can put it all together n such i just wanna make sure i have good dimensions n everything. this will be the 4th box i have built. my last box i was pretty happy with when i finished it. however there were some problems with it catchin lows n such. this box i want to be perfect design so it plays perfectly lol. if i cant get a design closer to those dimensions (30Wx16Hx30L) with the right port size n everything ima just go with the design pioneer saturn gave me. thanks again for that bro i realy appreciate it.

had that happen with the last box i built. even tho the hole was predrilled it still split the wood hahahah so yeh this time around ima try that, make the cutout after i put the box together

I would honestly just use the design...is there a reason why you want to take up the whole space? if this is in a trunk you'll want some space behind the enclosure so you arent choking off the port + sub

its gonna be sub n port forward. my back seat folds down. i do plan to eventually seal off the trunk from the cabin with the sub n port sealed into the cabin. just gotta do a lil more studying up on fiberglass and get my box in first and go from there.

edit: im tryin to get as much airspace as possible inside the box
