need sealed 8, ported 10, and amp help

I just got done fiberglassing my box and I need some help picking out subs and an amp. I just took some super rough estimates for volume and it looks like I have 1.4^3ft for the 10 and 0.8^3ft for the 8. I'm planning on porting the 10 out the back of the box adding to the airspace, and the 8 will stay sealed. Basically I want to get the 10s lows as low as possible and get some punchy mids and bass from the 8.. I'm hoping to stay around $500 for these 3 items. Any suggestions?

Edit: going to be porting both sides, need recommendations please.

Edit again.. Looking at getting two 8s, probably SA-8 D4s and running them at 1 ohm. would these be better if I sealed or ported this box? I'm looking for this setup to be able to hit some low notes and have decent sound quality

If you run all the subs on the same bandwidth, the ported subs will drown out any perceived benefits of the sealed sub. Which in my opinion, are just that... perceived.

A properly designed and built ported enclosure for a good quality sub(s) will have as tight, fast, punchy (and whatever other adjective you want to use) bass as any sealed enclosure and, it will play louder and lower.

Alright well I can port both of them they are going to be external ports anyway. I'd still like some recommendations. I was thinking a SA E-10D4 and SA-8D4. Both are 400W RMS and the recommended ported enclosure size is about what I have to work with. What would be a good bang for the buck amp to pair with these?

Can I run a monoblock amp even though I'm using 2 different speakers? I know you can if you are running 2 of the same speakers but since I'm running 2 different ones i'm not sure.. Looking at the crossfire VR1000D.

two 10s wont fit.. I don't see how two 8s is better than a 10 and an 8
forum members have already explained the issues with cancellation, not to mention you'd need two monoblocks to divide the frequencies if that's what you're talking about, or an inefficient AB class two channel rated 400wrms @ your target impedance. It would be a waste of money for, like bbeljefe said, a perceived benefit.

At this point, it would be wise to find 2 8's that can fit in a moderately sized ported box with a monoblock that can dish out 1,000wrms at whatever impedance you wish to wire the subs.

If you continue to argue about using a 10 and an 8 inch sub together, then you can't be helped, have a nice day.

The box is already built, one side has 1.3ft^3 and the other has about .8ft^3. Like I said I'm looking at 2 SA-8s, not sure whether to port or not. I'm getting a crossfire vr1000D as well. Can someone tell me if the SA-8 V2 is worth the extra 30 bucks a piece?
