Need recomendations for a cheap set of 6.5 Slims

I mean not boss cheap, but I'm not running an amp on them. Just going in some kicks for my GTO and need to be less than 1.6". Any suggestions?

Might check out the Zapco slim mount mids see if they would work or not.

Use MDF rings for extra room?

Zaps are going to be much more than I want to spend, no amp, just need mids/highs up front.

Can't use MDF rings for extra room, there is none. Kickpanels are already made and the magnet side is all metal on a 66 GTO. I'm already moving the ebrake so the kicks aren't hitting it.
