need quick answer on wire color

does any one know the wire color for 1990 ford escort - power wires that is. for some strange reason the ground is "RED". what colors are the 12v switched and the constant accessory wires????

help!!!

your constant 12v is the green/yellow wire

your accessory is yellow/black

now having trouble with the speaker wires (thought it would be easy...) it apears that the left front is the solid green and the right front is the white/red stripe. as soon as i hook these up both speakers work WITHOUT connecting the other speaker wire. the sound is very faint and distorted. when i try another color wire everything shorts out. does any one know the speaker wire colors... and is the big white wire a common ground?

Left Front (+) Orange/Green

Left Front (-) Blue/Light Green

Right Front (+) White/Green

Right Front (-) Green/Light Yellow

rears -

Left Rear (+) Pink/Green

Left Rear (-) Pink/Blue

Right Rear (+) Pink/Blue

Right Rear (-) Green/Orange

not sure what the solid white wire is tho

man... this car is so old and crappy those wire colors don't even exist. that is why i was having trouble with it. guess i will have to do what i normally do... run my own wires. i was just hoping to not have to do that twice. tonight i just wanted to throw my HU in with the stock speakers in the doors. i will be getting some new 6.5" in the next couple of months and then i will install the whole shabang. new wires everywhere, a couple of amps, HU, two 12" subs, etc.. well wonderbread... thanks for the timely help!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

thanks, I tried, but i guess the 12volt's wiring guide is crappy... that's the last tim ei ever use them, lol.
