hey i got a 15" CVR in my trunk and it was beating fine, and in the middle of the song all the bass went out...

got home, and amp is turned on, fully powered, but sub wont do anything...

pushed in on the center of the speaker, and then it started to hit..

as soon as i let go , it quit hitting... pushed again and it hit...

what happened?

if my voice coil blew, why does it still come on from time to time, and still BEAT!!!

Normally that is a lead-in wire that has taken a sh!t on you. That happens a bit with subs with lead-in wires that go through the spiders.....if the speakers are cheap. When you push on the cone, it puts the separated lead-in wires in contact with one another making your circuit complete again and you get sound. As soon as movement forces the two far enough apart again, the curcuit is then open and you will get no sound again.

Recommendation: Get it warrantied.

lol i was at bestbuy and in the car audio section ya know how they have their subs and amps set up...well i saw a sign by the sub boxes saying "do not push in the subs when they are playing!" then i saw this kid put on a heavy bass song and he was by the sub pushing it in, stupid moron.
