Just bought an Alpine 3554. I want to use it to drive a set of Alpine comps rated at 80w RMS. First of all, the remote has a strange plug, I think the top pin is the only wire I need for the actual remote turn-on, but I'd like to find the plug/ know a way to rig it up. http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Alpine_3554/outside2.jpg Secondly, the amp puts out 50wx4 (too low power) or 150x2 (bridged, way too much power). Should I hook it up bridged with the gain way down, or just on two channels and not use my comps to their full potential?

looks like a standard molex plug, you should be able to get the pins and connector housing at radio shack or any other local elctronics parts place,
yeah, just take the amp in with you so you get the right connector, you don't wanna be running in 10 times and guessing until you get the right part

thanks, hooked it up on just two channels and it sounds great! Trip to radioshack to find some connectors tomorrow. Now i'm rocking the alpine plus my 1st gen HCCA-250:fro:
