Need opinions on this box...

Hey, I saw this box on eBay. I wanted to build a custom fiberglass box, but I also wanted to get my truck painted. So I have to make a decision. I wanted to know what you guys thought about this box on ebay:

If anyone knows any other places to get boxes for L7's that are better, please let me know too.

I wanted to put my 2 12" L7's in it and they would be powered by a KX 1200.1

Think this box will wang? And do you think this is what I should do for now so I can get my car painted? Thanks!

You could build that for less than the cost of shipping. Actually you could probably build three for less than the cost of that box. ($50 + 50 shipping)

without having physical dimensions from the enclosure is difficult judge how the enclosure is going to sound.

i can most definitely design an enclosure for you "link" that will suit your listening needs and while staying withing stain limitations in your trunk that youll provide.

as far as building, i can build it for you. but shipping may not be so nice, but there Are other builders on the forum that can build it for you.

like vosschs "link", he does a decent job on enclosures and does not charge an arm and a leg.

there are others out there.

that's true. i can design your enclosure so that you get the most out of your sub with in the constrains of the trunk or area you have allocated for your enclosure. the sub could be flush mounted with the surface on the front baffle. if you want to use Plexiglas to show of the internals, i can design all sort of shit, with in the limitations of your trunk area.

as far as builders go there are plenty of them on the forum. i pointed one out for, you but there are plenty more to go around. and I'm sure you wont have a hard time looking for one. so good look.

if you lived close enough you can come to killeen, TX. ill personally build it for you, if you're looking for some thing fancy and want some fiber glass work. i do that too.

yeah I'm in the army at fort hood. killeen area. right out side post. i got back from Iraq about 9month ago. well talk later about that. lol.

And i disagree, it COULD be overpriced, but you must consider this

1) not every one has access to or money for the right tools

2) not every one know how to or find the info needed to do it, right

3) not every one can get it done in one shot, and not have to buy another sheet of MDF cause thed Fed up.

I agree took me over a year to get all my tools (table saw, router, drills, sanders, compressor, etc) and Im not as strapped for cash as alot of people are. That price is about the going rate on ebay and local shops will have the same box for $65 or so out the door. and it will sound ok for an L7 as it is built to kicker specs but you can get a better box for less if you know the right person.
