Need opinion on these two subs

How much better is the jl 12w3v2 than the 12 alpine type r. I am planin on running 2 12's in a sealed enclosure w/ a jl 500/1 amp. please give me your thoughts

im looking for both sq and spl...but a lil more spl - i have the money for either one of these subs but was wondering what wud be the smarter move and y..thanks guys

I've heard them both. I owned two 12" type R's which were great, but also heard two JL Audio 12's in a ported box. The 12's were about as loud as my Type R's, but I didn't see what he was powering them with. I was intoxicated at the time, so I probably wouldn't have remembered anyway. I'd say go for the one that's cheaper, though. That's my 2 cents.

I used to have 2 12 kickercomp vr's, will the alpines have much better spl than them( type r's)...also sq?

much better SQ, depending on enclosure. As for SPL, not sure. Jmac should know this one, though.
