Need opinion on system, 12" type R's & amp - READ!

Ok guys, I have a regular cab silverado. The box I'll be running these in will provide ~1.5cu ft. sealed for each sub. It hasn't been built yet, but I am debating on running a ported enclosure for these. Anyway, heres the sub and amp choice:

(2) 12" Alpine Type-R - Dual 2 Ohm Voice Coil (500w rms)

Also was looking at running a Hifonics BXi 1606D to power them both, is this a good choice for an amp or is there better out there that can push these to their max?

type r's hate (small) sealed. if u can do 1 ported at 2.5 tuned to 34 with the 1606(watch gains) that would sound very nice

I see, well I was pretty set on the whole two 12's, but after looking at some such as the Fi BTL (12"), how do you think that would do in a 2.0cu ft ported box in a regular cab?

Prob be louder then 2 Type R's?
