need new mid high amp :(

Long story short i fried my Kicker KX200.2 tonight so now i need a new amp to power my front stage. This came at kind of a bad time so i am on a very tight budget for this.

Here is the amp i am considering (tell me what you think)

Get the ARC KS 300.4.. It's has a superior build quality, more output (350x2@4ohms), and only a little bit more money. Check it out.

installed my alpine amp tonight and wow... such a huge difference from my kicker amp. expect a work log soon with everything in my sig

it sounds cleaner to my ears. i actually have some midbass now and my speakers are not running out of power when i actually turn up the volume

well maybe its because the power difference what did the kicker do compared to the alpine

the kicker was a kx200.2 so iirc correctly it was 50x2 at 4 ohms 100x2 at 2 ohms. i was running at 3 ohms so i guess it was running 75x2

the alpine puts out 100@4ohms 150@2ohms also running at 3 ohms so i guess 125 watts.

that little power difference has made a world of difference for these comps. i am pretty impressed by the sound of these now.

yea thats prob why

it got louder by 2db according to the double the power equals 3db so yea , also when u turned up the vol on the kicker amp u were prob pushing it to the limits and not giving it a pefectly clean signal u know
