Need New Door Speakers :confused:

I'm lookin to upgrade all 4 door speakers in my Jeep grand cherokee, there 6 1/2s and i was wanting to go with kicker because i have L7's and a 1200.1 and just figured why not have kicker all around. I want Sq out of these and i have been lookn at the Ks60's, i know its the lowest line of their door speakers but my budget isnt really high, just wondering if any of u have had any experiences with theses speakers, i will probably power them with an amp. What's your budget?

Limiting yourself to only Kicker speakers is a bad idea, IMHO.

I can buy off ebay and thats wat i probably plan on doing, i dont want to invest more than 65 per pair.

You should just get 1 good set of comps for a front stage, then IF you still want rear fill later on save up and buy a set of coax for the back.

$65 wont get you to much for a speaker set,but with $130 you ocudl pick upa decent set of even used components.

Yea i could do that....just to satisfy my needs i dont care if the people in the rear can only hear bass lol, are the kicker componet sets any count or should i look at others? i dont have to go kicker it was just an idea....also do u know any good places to mount the tweets. Thanks Guys!

mounting the tweets is your call mostly, most say for SQ you have to mount the tweet within 4" of the mid, others run them ont he sail panels/pillers and are just fine with that, Install the mid and then try holding the tweet at different spots to see what you think sounds best to you, since you are the ones buying them and not us lackies on the internet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I personnaly have enver heard kicker comps, personnaly Iw ould look for a set of gently used RE components over a set of kickers.

ok this is a difficult quesiton to answer.

Some find them harsh but I enjoy that,the midbass was pretty sucky until I deadened and then it was better. For the price you can get them for they are a great set of entry components.had them for a year with 75 rms running to them and they held up fine.

Now however I am ready to move into something differenet (Adire EXtremis) for more low end power,not sure what I am going to use for tweets (might stick wiht the infinity for a while). Like I said about an entry set thoguhy ou can pick them up off ebay for like $100-125 and the extremis alone is $100 each (no tweets,crossovers and such)

So I guess I rate them very good in an entry level setup but in time you will want something different.Then again to know what you want different you have to have something to compare it to.

If I was you I would look for a set of used high end comps in the for sale from someone with good references.This is up to you though.
