Need new amp

I guess I'll just try to do the battery and alternator thing. I really want to push these on a nice amp. I probaly need to do the big 3 anyway because I wanna do door speakers and stuff as well.

Riight...My purpose for posting that Alpha amp was one, it is a helluva deal, but mainly the specs..study that stuff. BTW, The specs on that SS RUBI 2500 are sweet for a Class D in that price range..I found a couple online for @ 275-300. Sounds like you have a plan...stick to it. and you won't spend near the $$ in the long run.

I would go for the BRZ1700, have one for my SA12's in a ported box and they slap pretty hard.

Cadence 0 gauge, and 3/8" ring terminals. Not sure exactly what you are asking.

I learned my lesson when I burned the battery wire off the factory Alt...lucky that was all that burned I rewired with 2/0 flexible copper stranded welding cable...a Brutus 1200 and 400 w on mids/highs

the Cadence is nice and probably best for $, Knuconcepts flex is what I ended up with..lots to choose on the wiring. motly copper/silver is what is available

with the SS amp you were running, you should also have a powerful AGM up front, you get many, many more Ah and CCA than a comparable sized Lead Acid...this would be the minimum recommendation to feed your system. As you add another amp for mid/highs, you will be needing even more current to push at least 100 clean watts to each 4 corners for a more balanced system. At this point, you MIGHT have to consider an HO alt...This will be the foundation to work from.

just remember, if your headlights dim, or you can watch your dash batt guage drop when the bass drops...you should be thinking of your electrical system.

Ok so it is fine to run a say 1600w or 1700w amp right now for say 2 months until I have enough money to upgrade my electrical system? I still have to run this by my dad then raise the money to buy it all.

Like I said, I burned my alt to batt wire off with just 1600 watts....at least run heavy 2/0 from the alt to the batt and replace the batt to ground with the same size wire., scratch the paint off for your grounds too, to assure good metal to metal grounding. I got by with $50 worth of 2/0 flexible stranded welding cable and connectors until i could do better.

Ok thank you for answering all my questions. I think I understand a lot more now. I still have to run by my dad though. I want the amp in because I miss the bass. The first thing people say when they get in my car is "dude wheres the bass at". I hate that lol.

And I'm not doing any of this myself. I had a audio place do the installs besides on the hids. I did those myself.
