Dude, I have a mid 140's daily driver and I recently popped in two Boston Pro60's, they are PERFECT! They handle the midbass great, are VERY accurate, and get louder than all hell, they keep up with the bass at every level and constantly amaze me, best $350 I ever spent, you know what I recommend....Ok then if I'm only going to be getting speakers for the front then that give me more money to spend. So which out of these would you chose: JL xr, Infinity Perfect, Alpine spx, or MB Quart QSC? (if I left one out feel free to suggest it.)
400x4 is way more power than you need, not to mention will most likely blow your budget out of the water //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Get a 100x2 amp. Run the rears off the head unit if you still need ambience, although with a powerful substage I'm not quite sure how you'd hear them, or why you'd even want to.
I havent decided on an amp yet, so suggestions on a good 400x4 amp would be nice.
How many wats should I bee looking into? I was thinking 100w per speaker, and a 400w amp.
For a little more than what your looking to spend you can go with the Rainbow SLC's....amp those suckers and the money you would spend on rear fill either put into the funds you need to get the SLC's or roll it into the amp your going to be powering your frontstage with. Run the rear fill (stock) off your source. My budget is 200, maybe a little more, for a set of comps. Then I will probably buy a set of coax. for the back, but I havent decided whether or not to run the back off an amp or just the hu. Then depending on the amp, the price will varry. Like if I were only going to be powering only the front then I would only need some where around a 100x2 at probably under 200, but if I ran the back and front of an amp then I would need some where around a 400x4 in which case I would be willing to spend more. If possible I wouldnt like to spen much over 500 grand total, on-line.
