Need more BASS for the summer! Help..

I bought me my 93 Honda Accord from my cousin last year. He had a 600W Sony Explod Amp and (2) 10" Sony Explod subwoofers- in not ported box. I removed it- believe amp blew... Removed in Fall.. Last week I installed the speakers (which are 2-3 years old. And my buddy gave me a 800 watt boss amplifier... The only way I can tune the amp perfect is too set it where it doesn't beat that hard- but there is no road noise.. So I changed out the INPUT cord, and still I can't get the bang I want without hearing the hum when the radio volume level is at 0. But, it also has a bass control plug on the amp. I don't have the cord- but if I did would it give me a good amount of more bass... Do I need to buy new amp?Speakers? Box? What am I missing....>>>>??? Please help!

you need all new equipment IMO, starting with the speakerbox. how much you got to spend? willing to buy used?

What you got?? Not really caring if it's new or not... Wasn't wanting to buy all the stuff at once. Like Jeezy says we are in a recession!

Honestly if youre looking for a setup that'll be a good amount of output for not-so-much $ I'd get a solid 1000 rms amp and a 12" Fi SSD in a good enclosure and it'd be pretty stout...it wont be free, but not an arm and a leg imo

give me some brands that would be1000 true watts.. and what is a FI SSD speaker?? How much would that all be?

He doesn't need all new equipment to get rid of road noise. Some good RCA's, etc is all that is needed. What type of head unit are you using? You might need to ground the RCA's.

If he is hearing noise through the subs, then something is terribly wrong!
