i just wrote a 5 page essay and when i closed it instead of pressing save, i accidently hit dont save....

how do I get it back???

i think ur fcked...i bet next time you take 1/10 of a second to save your work..every 1/2 hour or so.

Office 2003 autosaves every 20 min or so. Do a search for the first couple of words of your paper.

It only autosaves if you previously saved the document. If the auto-recovery did work I think thats only in case where the program locks up, or your computer accidently turns off....

Dig deep, friend; Search the caches for a unique identifier.

This depends of course on your OS and Office versions, but it's worth a shot.
