Need Midranger and Crossover Help

I just traded and received a set of Crescendo CTS-1 Tweeters. I really like how they look now that they arrived and would like to use them. I currently have Kicker 6x8 Coax's in the front running off a RF 50x2 @ 4 Amp. I am now needing to pick out a good set of midrange speakers and crossovers. How do I pick these out? I don't want to damage the tweeters because I picked the wrong equipment.

if your tweeters came with 3kHz 12dB/oct then use that as your benchmark when looking for replacement crossovers - or just use those.

if your woofers are mounted off-axis in the doors, they can be ran full-range (and will naturally low-pass based on inductance). or you can simply add a single inductor in-series with the woofer positive wire to create a smooth low-pass (maybe around 2-2.5kHz).

figure out your available front depth. then you'll need to build a baffle to fit the opening (assuming 6.5" woofers are used). the baffle thickness + current mounting depth = new speaker mounting depth.

for now, you can disconnect the tweeter in the 6x8 coax and run the new tweeters with the included crossovers.

some of us have had good luck with Madisound or Parts Express for single drivers. Dayton Reference series is a nice choice ($35 per speaker is a great price, and 4 ohm). Some of us also have Silver Flute 6.5" from Madisoun but the mounting depth is over 3".
